Only recently, the British automaker, McLaren, has yet again proven its expertise in the world of automobiles and sports/racing cars. The company has launched a new vehicle model, the MP4-30. The car will reportedly run on an engine that originates from the Japanese automaker, Honda. Launched on the internet, the car proves to be rather different than what most people have expected, especially in terms of its paint job.
Speaking of the paint job, a lot of people believe due to the earlier reports that the car will come with either a black or white livery. Yet, that is not the case. The British automaker is actually showing off the new vehicle in a custom silver livery. Yet, at the tip of the nose of the vehicle, which is sleekly designed, McLaren uses a pronounced red livery. That red livery stretches to the cockpit as well. As the McLaren team puts it, the car will showcase a total evolution of the company when compared to earlier years.
The British automaker unveils that the car gains its power from the hybrid RA615H engine developed by Honda. In addition to that, McLaren also claims that the new MP4-30 comes with a color scheme that really fits the British automotive marquee.
Along with launching its new vehicle, McLaren also announced last Thursday, January 27, 2015, that one of its sponsors, Santander, was leaving. This is ironic, honestly speaking, especially considering the fact that Fernando Alonso has now returned to the British team and that the team will be entering yet another competition without the presence of a title backer for the second consecutive time. As for Spaniard Alonso, he is determined to work hard and more patiently this season. In addition to that, Alonso also points out that the team will really have to find the maximum performance of their new McLaren MP4-30 before the season actually kicks off. Of course, this is in no way an easy thing to do but Spaniard Alonso claims the team is ready for it.
