by SpeedLux

BMW’s continues its effort to be present at every single auto show and it has done so as the it has taken the covers off the 3-Series Gran Turismo.

Built to attract people who want something different, the 3-Series GT is the automotive equivalent of a riddle covered in mystery.

Despite censure, the 3-Series GT is similar to its larger sibling and adopts a known hatchback design. Styling characteristics has been copied from the 3-Series sedan, but the GT is differentiated by the aforementioned hatch which includes an active rear spoiler that deploys at 110 km/h (68 mph) and draws back at speeds below 70 km/h (43 mph).

Irrespective of the similarities the 3-Series GT is actually larger than the 3-Series Touring as it measures 200mm longer, 81mm taller and sits on a wheelbase that has been enlarged by 110mm. This results in a more spacious cabin as there’s an additional 70mm of rear seat leg space as well as 1600 liters of luggage capacity when the back seats are bent down.

A different array of engines are on offer which includes a 2.0 Liter twinturbo to 3.0 liter twin turbo, 143 HP to 306 HP and 320 Nm of torque to 400 Nm of torque.

So Geneva is the final halting place for the 3-series GT where we can get loads of information about it. Have a look at picture gallery.
