Carlsson readies Smart Race Edition for Geneva

by SpeedLux

Carlsson has readied the Smart Race Edition for the 2013 Geneva Motor Show which begins on March 5.

This traditional Smart Coupe carries a complete body kit and has received a sport exhaust system, LED daytime running lights and an in-house sports suspension lowering the car by 15mm front / 30mm rear. Carlsson has also added their own 1/6 Revo 6.5 & 7.5 x 17-inch one-piece alloys.

Made particularly for the Swiss market, the facelifed package enhances the output of the engine from 84 HP (62 kW) to 112 HP (82 kW). Peak torque has also went up from 120 Nm (88 lb-ft) to 158 Nm (116 lb-ft). This allows the vehicle to reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in 9.9 seconds on its way to a top speed of 96 mph (155 km/h). By the way, the stock model can reach 90 mph (145 km/h).

Now since Geneva is about to begin this particular coupe will be displayed there so we can have a glimpse of it there itself.
