Gold-plated Lamborghini Aventador 1:8 scale model costs 7.5M USD

by SpeedLux

A gold-plated 1:8 scale model of a Lamborghini Aventador will be up for the auction soon and at a starting price of awesome 7.5M USD.

Well we have heard about the Gülpen’s gold Aventador earlier as well but now the 1:8 scale model will be actually built and auctioned at the above mentioned price, of which 650,000 USD of the earnings will go to the charity. The seller mentions all the precious metals and gemstones fitted onto the scale model are worth a whopping 2.64M USD. The scale model will be made out of a 500-kg (1,102 lbs) block of solid gold and will have 25 kg (55 lbs) of the precious metal.

The model in the picture is being showcased in a Dubai showroom but do not get carried away as this is just the prototype and is made of less valuable materials. The only reason why the actual 1:8 scale model hasn’t been built till now is to allow the buyer to customize it to his own preferences.

Talking about the records, the has already secured three Guinness world records – most expensive scale model car, the most luxurious logo and the most secure showcase (which includes bulletproof glass).
