Korea’s most significant automaker is continuing its yearly custom of partnering with some of America’s most imaginative and cutting-edge tuning houses for upcoming November’s SEMA show. And while Hyundai will be keeping some information about its organized projects under wraps till the event, which this year begins from November 1, it has confirmed that it is once again working with Bisimoto and Rockstar Performance Garage.
Bisimoto is developing the “Santa-Fast,” a Hyundai Santa Fe that will sport a bespoke engine, based upon a basic Hyundai 3.8-liter V6, but integrated in a climate-controlled clean space to make sure the smallest of tolerances. But as the end objective is a vehicle with 1040 hp going to the rear wheels, this sort of precision is important. The engine will likewise be assisted in this regard with the addition of a Bisimoto custom-made twin-turbo kit, brand-new injectors, exhaust system, custom camshafts and the ability to work on flex fuel.

And while the Santa-Fast is developed for the track, Rockstar Performance Garage has decided to take a Santa Fe and turn it into a genuine desert racer. It also uses a ‘stock’ Hyundai V6 but one with a Magnaflow custom exhaust, a cold air consumption system and naturally a Nitrous-oxide injection system for the supreme in short-term power boost.
