Latest 2010 BMW 5 Series is through with the litmus test for brakes

by Zack Colt

Testing automotive for impact is one of the necessary evils in the automobile engineering and BMW 5 series is no exception for this.  At the end of the day it ensures the safety for the users in future. The recent tests conducted by the bmw group for the latest 5 series and 7series braking and impact security systems were found to be favorably positive enough. The testing is being done especially for the collision alert futures which reduce the impact of the collision.  The security unit as a whole is found to be functioning efficiently by having reduced the final speed just before the collision by 24percentage than that of the other models usually. This is achieved through the special security features installed in the 5 series models. The unit senses electronically as well as mechanically by dual modes that there is a nearly collision anticipated in a while. Under these special conditions it instantly activates the brake to a very slight extent in order to keep it prepared to react immediately to the high pressure braking in a while. So when the driver is really into a dangerous situation of such a nature, just before he presses the brake itself the brake is made ready to react instantly.  So when the brakes are applied by the driver by pressing the pedal the vehicle comes to a cease faster than the usual.

Apart from this another security function of this unit is when it is detected by the system that there is no feedback from the driver for the near crash situation sensed it automatically applies the emergency brakes instantly and retards the force of the vehicle considerably just before the collision or impact causing the crash. So the force with which the collision happens otherwise is reduced effectively by this 5 series model of the BMW which is expected to be installed in many other cars very sooner in consideration with the wholesome safety of all the drivers.
