It’s Official: 2014 Deltawing Coupe

DeltaWing Racing Cars recently confirmed that they are making all efforts to develop a good coupe version car and not just open-top car.

The company recently revealed a DeltaWing Coupe in the form of the concept car at the Sebring International Raceway. The coupe may comply with 2014 LMP1 regulations which mean that it can take part in the 2014 endurance series.

The DeltaWing Coupe may hit as early as second half of 2013 with the debut on cards at the American Le Mans Series later this year and an entrance at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in May also quiet possible.

The car features a new engine made by Elan Motorsports Technologies. The engineer of Elan Motorsports Technologies, Simon Marshall, stated that the safety of the driver has been given quiet lot of importance. As a result, the driver seat is in the middle which gives them good protection and also better visibility.
