The brand-new Opel Astra K comes with everything a vehicle driver requires except efficiency. It’s simpler compared to its predecessor and yet a lot more sizable. For included design as well as enjoyable, Opel is thinking about as introducing a committed coupe based upon the same system.

According to a recent record from British media, Opel will reveal a GT sports car idea at the Geneva Electric motor Show, come March 2016. The design has not yet been accepted for manufacturing, and everything is using on a favorable response from the group.

The original Opel GT came out in 1965 and was perhaps among the most attractive automobiles ever made by the German car manufacturer. On a variety of occasions, they aimed to restore the German Corvette, finishing with the 2-seater roadster you see above. It was interesting to take a look at yet not as engaging to drive as a Honda S2000 or BMW Z3. Still, the model made it across the pool as a Pontiac.

The possibilities of a 2-liter turbo in a sportscar being well obtained are much higher now (same engine as OPC of the time). Yet Opel will certainly also compromise the RWD arrangement. The company intends to underpin this new GT on the same system as the Astra K hatchback. That indicates there’s no chance of power visiting the rear wheels.

The Opel GT is also said to be revived in next two years.
