The Koreans from Hyundai have released the first official sketch of the all-new Ford Focus-rivalling, the new generation 2012 Hyundai i30. This image was revealed ahead of its world debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month.
The first generation i30, introduced in 2007, was a huge sales success, and the automaker claims the new car maintains the quality, practicality and value for money of the original while adding more style into the mix.
The new model, inspired by the new i40 (actually that hexagonal shaped front grille and headlights are the new face of all Hyundais), looks very nice compare with the previous one.
This C-segment hatchback was designed and engineered at the Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Centre in Rüsselsheim, Germany, so if anything it’s even more European and therefore brilliant. It will be making its world debut at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
Thomas Bürkle, Chief Designer, Hyundai Motor Europe commented: “When designing the new i30, we used strong, fluid lines to sculpt a car which looks athletic while exuding a sense of constant motion, even when stationary. From the rendering, you can see how we managed to give the car a bold stance, transmitting a confident attitude through sporty characteristics and dynamic proportions. In this way, the car is very close to the recently unveiled i40, and we want people to recognise the Hyundai design DNA on those two models.”
Considering the current model’s price, the 2012 i30 will likely to exceed slightly €20,000
