2013 BMW M3 Sedan Spied! [Video]

by Zack Colt

Due to the fact that the BMW 3-Series is out in the open, allattention is nw focused on the development of the high-performance M3 variant which is expected to be released late next year. The prototype for the M3 in the video you can find below will be introduced initially as a sedan rather than a coupe like previous generations.

BMW is expected to further differentiate its 3-Series Sedan and Coupe by possibly renaming the two-door models a 4-Series. If it hangson to this idea, the cars will be launched separately, which means there will be a M variant of the Coupe, but this is likely to happen later than a year from now.

In order for us not to get really bored, we have in the meantime the M variant of the Sedan, which is expected to keep the legendary M3 moniker, which is also expected to be all that it keeps.

Gossipers say that BMW will drop the current M3’s naturally-aspirated V-8 engine in favor of a smaller force-fed unit, but instead of a traditional straight-six engine there’s word that BMW may opt for a heretical V-6 unit with turbochargers.

What remains for us to do except listen to rumours and gossip and to assume what is going to happen, is to wait and see, and even this is the hardest part,I think is also the best.
