Porsche recently announced that a “new compact sports car” will be unveiled in the Los Angeles Motor Show, and with that they are hinting that they would be launching the much discussed 2013 Cayman. The design will be heavily inspired from the 2013 Boxster and it will probably borrow its engine lineup. In other words, the entry-level Cayman will be powered by a 2.7-liter unit with 261 hp (195 kW), followed by the more potent S version with a larger 3.4-liter producing 311 hp (232 kW).
It is expected that the new new Porsche Cayman will be receiving an updated exterior styling with familiar styling cues taken from the new Boxster. The coupe will also use the 2.7-liter flat-six engine from the Boxster, although with 5 to 10 horsepower more than the roadster’s 265 hp, well in the Cayman S model, the sources claim that porsche may be mounting the 3.4-liter flat-six tuned to around 330 horsepower. At the Los Angeles Auto Show Porsche will also showcase the 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera 4, a North American debut. Everything will basically be revealed on 28th November this month.
More Information will be provided, once the Show gets started, so stay tuned for more updates.
