The next generation of the Hyundai i20 has been caught on camera testing on the roads of Spain ahead of what will be a 2014 launch.
Hyundai is continuing the testing procedures for the next-gen i20 which will looks like pretty much a larger i10 with sweptback headlights, a bigger lower front grille and vertical taillights. It should also come equipped with a tailgate-mounted spoiler and turn signals built into the mirrors. Since the i10 is now bigger in size, the i20 will also likely to grow in size so that it can maintain a distance between the two models in Hyundai’s lineup.
Under the hood, power will be derived from the firm’s familiar 1.0-liter three-cylinder and 1.25-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engines as well as the 1.1-liter three-cylinder and 1.4-liter four-cylinder diesel ones. These motors will be further mated to a standard 6-speed manual transmission or an optional automatic gearbox. Well thats not all, the i20 will also become Hyundai’s first model to spawn an “N” performance variant which is programmed to come out in 2015.
We can expect more details to be out soon regarding the model with the launch happening next year in 2014.
