We are coming through the reports that Ford is working on a hatch. There’s history to the “RS500” name that provides credibility to the report, without even diving into the specifics of Motor’s report. The Sierra Cosworth RS500 was an advancement design, considering the incrementally attractive variations of the E30 BMW M3 and Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.3-16, and its known successor was the last-generation Focus RS500. That was itself a more attractive variation of the Focus RS.
And one realizes about the supposed new RS500: there’s very little power delegated be pulled from the 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine. The 2016 Focus RS is performing at near optimal output, so any enhancements to acceleration will need to be discovered with weight decrease. That’ll make this RS500 a bit different than its predecessors: more of a light-weight special compared to collection of power-adding mods.
The all-new 2016 Ford Focus RS is priced at $35,900.
