We had told you before that the automakers around the world were growing interest in testing their vehicles in Scandinavia. Well, this time, we have yet another vehicle spotted while undergoing test at the aforementioned country. This time, it is the South Korean automaker, Hyundai, which has been spotted testing its 2016 Genesis Coupe against cold weather in Scandinavia.
Taking a close look at the spy photo shots, it can be seen that the next generation Genesis Coupe from Hyundai will not look exactly the same as its predecessor. The 2016 model is coming with a revised design for its front fascia. In addition to that, it can also be seen that the vehicle is going to have a longer wheelbase. Unfortunately, there really is nothing much to reveal other than that. After all, when it comes to the Genesis Coupe for the 2016 model year, the South Korean company always tries its best in order to cover up and not reveal any information in respect to the vehicle model in question.
Nevertheless, if the recent reports in the world of automobiles are to be believed, the Korean sports coupe will move to a higher market segment. Reports indicate that the upcoming coupe from Korea will borrow plenty of its styling cues from the company’s HND-9 concept car. For a reminder, Hyundai actually unveiled the vehicle for the very first time ever back in the 2013 Seoul Motor Show event.
There is no word yet on the exact engine that the car will have lying beneath its hood. However, the probabilities include a 5.0L V8 and a 3.8L V6 engine. The peak power and torque to be expected from this next generation Hyundai Genesis Coupe are believed to lie somewhere around 420 bhp and 518 Nm.
