So far we had our first idea of the upcoming 2012 Toyota Camry through some video footage shot during a dealer presentation in Las Vegas back in June, but now Toyota teases us with the first official photo of its 2012 Camry. Just a few minutes ago, Toyota released official image of the new 2012 Toyota Camry via its Twitter account.

Of course, they do not show everything and all we get for this moment is a just a cropped image showing only a part of the 2012 Camry’s edgier styled front end and the promise for “more info on the upcoming launch” soon.

The 2012 Toyota Camry is a midsize sedan high-tech that will probably be powered by a 2.5 liter four cylinder engine. This engine is is supported with electric motor and battery, and they are designed to work well in tandem. Overall, the engine is predicted to be similar as the 7th generation of the Toyota Camry. The fuel rating is 21 miles per gallon for city driving and 31 miles per gallon for highway driving. The 2012 Toyota Camry will maintain similar exterior size as its predecessor.

So far these are all the details that we can give you, but we’ll keep our eyes open for any updates.

Specs: the new Camry is scheduled for launch this fall
