50th Anniversary Model going to be Lamborghini’s Fastest Supercar Ever

by SpeedLux

Lamborghini has planned to celebrate its 50th anniversary in style with the fastest car ever made by them till date. They have planned to launch a special and limited edition Aventador LP720-4 in the upcoming 83rd Geneva International Motor Show to be held in March 2013. The special edition car would have very limited edition and it could be even less than ten.

The announcement was made by the design director Filippo Perini during the launch of one of its models Aventador LP 700-4 in Miami. The director is also confident of that all the models of this limited edition will be fully sold.

Lamborghini is very well known for making such one-off or special edition cars and it has earlier made cars such as Miura Roadster, Miura Jota and the Lamborghini Aventador J in very low volumes. The Sesto Elemento can also join this lineup with only upto 20 cars being made and to be fully sold at $2.5 million.

However there are no details available as to why there would be so less cars produced. But since it is a special edition, it is surely going to be priced at a premium and would be legal on roads (and not like Sesto Elemento).
