9ff & SpeedArt file for insolvency

Well known Porsche tuners 9ff and SpeedArt have also now filed for insolvency recently.

The details available about the situation are limited as of now, but we have come to know that the Dortmund District Court has appointed insolvency lawyer Carsten Koch to oversee things at 9ff in September. A similar decision has been handed down by the Ludwigsburg District Court which has appointed Dr. Philipp Grub as insolvency lawyer of SpeedArt on the 4th of September.

However both the companies have remained quiet about the situation but insolvency proceeding come hot of the heels of similar events at Wiesmann and Gumpert. It would be not possible to say at this moment if both these companies would be able to turn themselves around.

All we can say is that the current year 2013 is really not a very good year for the automotive industry and some big names are applying for insolvency. We can just hope that there are no other names that would go for insolvency and also talking about these tuners we just hope that they manage to change their situation before time runs out and things turn for worse for them.
