2012 Cadillac XTS

by Site Default

The new flagship of the American vehicle manufacturer is here to become the new Cadillac flagship and replace the old DTS, which was used by the president of the U.S. The Cadillac was unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

The new XTS is powered by a 3.6L V6 capable of producing 300 horsepower at 6.800rpm and a torque of 357Nm at 5.300rpm. For transmission the Cadillac uses a Hydra-Matic in six steps.

Although everything is new in this car, it still has a feeling of familiarity that makes you say: “I know this vehicle”. On the inside, the comfort is exactly how Cadillac usually does it – a place where even a king would feel comfortable. The 12.3 inch display can be personalized, and according to the Americans, there is more than enough space for the passengers. The trunk has a capacity of 509L.

The dynamic of the car is improved thanks to the new chassis that features HiPer Strut Suspension system to the front, and pneumatic system to the back, while the stability in banks is provided by the Magnetic Ride Control System. The XTS can also come with four wheel drive.

This car is an entirely normal Cadillac, so the Americans haven’t gone wild on this model, although the design is new. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but I would like to get more from Cadillac next time they release their next flagship.
