2013 Volkswagen e-up! revealed with 150km Range

by SpeedLux

Volkswagen has recently released the initial details of their electric car – electric up!, simply called as e-up! just before the official launch at the upcoming 2013 IAA. The car will create a new landmark in electric cars in terms of charging time and the range that it can cover with all good features of standard up! remaining intact.

The car features 60 kW / 82 PS electric-motor which make 210 Nm of torque. The motor is backed by a lithium-ion battery integrated in the underfloor. The car can cover a range of 150 kms with a single charge.

The car weighs 1,185 kg and the acceleration of the car to 100 kmph takes around 14 seconds and has a top speed of 135 kmph.

The exteriors have not been changed much from the standard up! except for few aerodynamic changes in the front and underbody, curved layout of the LED daytime running lights, etc. The interiors have been given light-grey seat covers with blue top-stitched seams.
