by SpeedLux

After some recent rumors about Kia developing a Soul EV, new details are now starting to emerge about the model.

Kia World has recently reported that the Soul EV will be sold across the world and will feature a battery that will enable it to travel up to 200 km (124 miles) on a single charge. They have not given details about the power that the electric motor will produce, but it will reportedly be enough to allow the model to accelerate from 0-100 kmph (0-62 mph) in under 12 seconds and will also be able to hit a top speed of 140 kmph (87 mph).

The Soul EV is expected to go on sale in the first half of the next year in 2014 and may come with a starting price tag of 40 million KRW (approx $35,490 / €27,480).
