Porsche has recently shown how the roof works on the new 911 Targa in this video that was recorded in the ongoing NAIAS at Detroit.
Can be called as one of the most popular cars in the ongoing show, Porsche’s 911 Targa is actually a throwback to the original model from 1965. The roof section needs as much as 19 seconds to open and close and this procedure is done by simply pressing a button that he been installed in the cabin. However the roof conversion can be done only when the car is in the stationary model and there’s a space behind the seats to store the roof when not in use.
Porsche has plans to sell the 2014 911 Targa only with all-wheel drive and so the customers will have to choose between the Targa 4 and Targa 4S. The former comes with a base price of 101,600 USD and comes equipped with a 350 hp 3.4-liter 6-cylinder engine while the latter kicks off from 116,200 USD and comes fitted with a 3.8-liter 6-cylinder rated at 400 hp.
