The annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) event is undoubtedly an event that is always fully packed with exciting new technologies from dozens of companies around the world. The same can also be said about this year’s CES that is currently taking place at the Las Vegas, US. In this event, the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has announced no less than four of its new Uconnect Access services.
Speaking of these services, the first one that the company has officially unveiled is the Vehicle Finder service. With this service in particular, owners of future vehicle models manufactured by the company will not have to worry about finding their car whenever they forget where they park their vehicle. All that these people will have to use is simply an app designed for use on a smartphone. With this particular app, owners of the vehicles will receive exact directions on how to get to their parked vehicle. Better yet, they can even make the car honk the horn for them to let them know where the car is being parked at the given time.
The second service is what Fiat Chrysler calls the Send Destination to Vehicle service. This enables owners of future Chrysler vehicles to send their car the exact address of a location. By sending the address to the vehicle’s onboard Uconnect system, the moment the driver enters their vehicle, the destination will have already been set and the driver is good to go without having to wait for the car to complete the loading process of the address in advance.
The next two new Uconnect Access services are the Vehicle Health Alert and the Vehicle Health Report services. These services are meant to monitor how healthy the vehicle is. They monitor things like suspension, brakes, oil and powertrain, among other stuffs. Then, these last two services will send an e-mail to owner of the vehicle about the information collected regarding the vehicle.
