The 2015 Brussels Motor Show is currently taking place and one automaker, Opel, has shown off its latest creation, the Corsavan for the 2015 model year. As a matter of fact, the automaker has even gone as far as to open the order book for the vehicle already.
For those who remember, the company introduced what could be considered a rather substantial facelift for its supermini Corsa just a few months ago. Now, the company has given a similar treatment to the Corsavan vehicle model. The car uses the 3-door Corsa for its chassis.
The upcoming Corsavan from Opel comes with such features as a floor made of the solid steel material, half-height sidewall paneling, half-height steel bulkhead and also a set of load resistant lashing eyes. The latter is meant to help the vehicle stabilize the cargo it carries, if any. For a few extra bucks, buyers will also receive a load compartment cover consisting of four pieces, upper load resistant mesh and also a number of rubber floor mats.
The automaker is reportedly offering the 2015 Opel Corsavan with either a 1.4L petrol or a turbocharged 1.3L diesel engine. Power will range from 70 to 95 hp. There is also a special engine available, a 1.3L ecoFlex CDTI engine. This one is compliant with the Euro 6 emission standard.
For buyers keen on getting more luxury amenities inside the cabin, they can go for a little more expensive version of the 2015 Opel Corsavan. In this case, they will be treated with a colorful 7-inch touchscreen display, Forward Collision Warning System, Traffic Sign Recognition, Lane Departure Warning System, the Opel Eye camera on the front end of the car and many more to mention.
Having opened itself to orders for the car, Opel claims that the 2015 model year Corsavan will arrive at dealerships in the first quarter of 2015.
