How about a 5-Series Convertible from BMW?

by Alex

Here is a rendering of a 5 series convertible which is like a previous generation E60 and is perhaps the type of car that would be preferred by BMW to introduce in the markets considering the slew of redundant models that the German carmaker has blitzed the market with of late. Its like a car manufacturer that had once to its credit a nice and solid lineup of cars though it has got infused with a variety of models that can be termed ‘interesting’ and are constantly trying to fill up every niche possible.

Take the instance of the all new 5 Series that has only recently been launched. The 5 Series of cars comprises of models like a sedan, a LWB version of the sedan that has been built to cater exclusively for the Chinese market, and a station wagon version. Then the line up also includes whatever the GT is while a 6 Series sedan is all set to be part of the lineup in 2012. So why not a 5 Series Convertible that would o nicely fill the desired product gap between the 3er and 6er drop tops…
