Alfa Romeo has disclosed the first official pictures of the Production ready model 4C.
Showcasing a carbon fiber monocoque chassis, the two-seater will have a reduced weight of less than 1,000 kg (2,204 lbs). No practical details have been released with the exception of the power to weight ratio of less than 4 kg for every 1 hp. Power should be taken from a 1.8-liter turbocharged engine producing around 237 hp (177 kW), which means the 4C could have a reduced weight of about 950 kg (2,094 lbs).
As a result of this, the Alfa Romeo 4C will be able to travel the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) journey in around 4.5 seconds, before hitting an all time top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). It is likely to be 4000 mm long, 2000 mm wide and 1180 mm long, sporting a 2400 mm wheel base.
In 2014 the Italian auto maker will introduce Racing and Road versions followed by a convertible to begin with. Production for all the models will begin this year itself.
As far as price is concerned, it should begin from 56,000 EUR (about 76,400 USD or 49,000 GBP) and rise to 64,000 EUR (approximately 87,300 USD or 55,500 GBP).
So its final that the concept is likely to make Geneva debut so let us wait till the show begins and for now let us enjoy picture gallery.
