Its celebration time for Aston Martin right now as the famed sports car manufacturer has finished assembling the first set of the new Rapide four-door sports car and is ready for delivery to customers all over the world. Aston Martin has revealed that the Rapide’s will there to be experienced first hand at the company’s 125 spread across 34 countries and its going to happen as early as over the next few weeks.
For the uninitiated, the Rapide four-door saloon can accommodate 4 adults in an extremely luxurious environs while also having a generous 301 liters of luggage compartment. Powering the new Rapide is a 6.0-litre V12 engine that is specially hand-built and is capable of 470 bhp of peak power at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 600 Nm that is available at 5,000 rpm.
The world first knew of the Rapide at the Detroit Auto Show of 2006 with a production model to be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show held in the September of 2009.The entry level Rapide can set one back by $199,950 in the U.S. and £139,950 in the UK. The sports car is being built at the Aston Martin Rapide Plant which is a dedicated facility at Magna Steyr’s operations situated in Graz, Austria.
