Rumor in the industry is that Aston Martin is in talks with Red Bull for their return to Formula 1 racing. The rumor goes something on the lines of Aston Martin’s reappearance on the racing track with their partnership with Mercedes-Benz. The last time that Aston Martin raced on the grounds of Formula 1 was during the 1959 and 1960 seasons, in fact those were the only two years that Aston Martin campaigned their car in the sport. Aston Martin raced with its gorgeous DBR4 but unfortunately it didn’t perform as well as it looked. In those two seasons the DBR4 didn’t manage to even come up in the top six finalists. However that is all going to change since the partnership with Mercedes- Benz will turn out to be quite fruitful as it plans in designing the engine for Aston Martin.

Currently, Red Bull is partnered up with Infiniti and Renault in Formula 1 racing however the deal is going to expire by the end of 2016. This move was possible by two distinct individuals named Any Palmer and Simon Sproule who now work for Aston Martin. It was because of these two individuals that both Mercedes and Aston Martin can share larger economics of scale in the automobile industry now. Also this move helps Mercedes as it eliminates Infiniti from competing against the German automaker which actually does compete with some of its lineup.
