There is no questioning that Elvis Presley is a very legendary figure and he has millions of fans around the globe, even long after his death. Speaking of the legendary celebrity, he once owned the 1977 Cadillac Seville. In fact, the car is now being exhibited at the National Motor Museum of Beaulieu in the UK.
This car has a significant history behind it. A day before the aforementioned legend came to the end of his life, he was driving this very vehicle. The car was the last one in his collection and was bought by the celebrity for personal use. Records show that the celebrity, who was the King of Rock and Roll in his time, made a purchase on the 1977 Cadillac Seville back in the year 1976, in the month of October. The silver and burgundy paint scheme visible on the car was the choice of the deceased legend of Rock and Roll himself. The body panel of the car was manufactured by Fisher for the luxury US automaker, Cadillac, and for the interior, it features wood grain accents with grey color dominating the steering wheel, dashboard and the doors of the vehicle.
The car that is being exhibited at the National Motor Museum still retains its original state. In fact, it even still has its CB radio, the one that Elvis would usually use to get in touch with his kitchen at Graceland. In addition to that, the legend also used it to contact the guard house outside the aforementioned domain so that the gates would be opened for him whenever he would come by.
The 1977 Cadillac Seville in question here comes with plenty of luxury amenities, including electric mirrors and windows. Speaking of the car, it was known that it was later given as a gift to Elvis’ girlfriend whose name was Ginger Alden. It was given by Elvis’ father himself, Vernon. During his life, the legend was said to be very royal, even to people he did not know at all. It was estimated that he had bought no less than 200 Cadillac vehicles when he lived. Some of the cars were bought for him himself while others were handed over to his family members, friends and even total strangers.
This Cadillac that belongs to Elvis Presley is not the possession of the National Motor Museum mentioned above. Instead, it belongs to Briton Steve Horn, who paid $81,250 for it. However, he has now given it to Suzannah, his wife. It turns out that both Briton and his wife are huge fans of the legend, Elvis Presley.
