As if there are not enough special edition models of the Lamborghini supercars already for all these years, it seems that the Italian automaker has yet to feel satisfied in producing yet another special edition model. This time around, the company has worked in close collaboration with Pirelli and both companies have come up with the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Pirelli Edition.
As it turns out, this special edition Italian raging bull model will represent the long-term partnership that the Italian automaker has with the tire manufacturer, Pirelli. Both companies started signing a contract back in the year 1963. At that moment, it was the very founder of Lamborghini, a man known as Ferruccio Lamborghini, that came up to Pirelli, asking for a favor from the tire manufacturer to supply its tires to the cars his company would be producing. For their first partnership, Pirelli supplied Lamborghini with tires for the automaker’s 350 GTV vehicle model.
This Pirelli Edition Aventador is to come in a pair of two-tone color options. First, customers will get the matte black color for the vehicle’s side, rear, front and moving air intakes, engine hood, rearview mirrors, pillars and roof. These matte black elements will be combined with either one of these six colors: Grigio Ater, Grigio Liqueo, Nero Aldebaran, Bianco Isis, Rosso Mars and Giallo Spica, all of which will be applied to the vehicle’s remaining body panels.
The second color option is that the company will give customers glossy black paint job for the vehicle’s air intakes and upper parts. These elements will be paired with either one of these colors: Grigio Titans, Grigio Adamas, Nero Nemesis and Bianco Canopus.
Inside the cabin, both color options will have black Alcantara leather scheme, along with contrasting red stitches and stripes. Customers will also get a special plaque that says ‘Pirelli Special Series’ regardless of which of the color options they choose.
Set to be offered both as a roadster and a coupe, the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Pirelli Edition will have a V12 engine capable of delivering 690 hp of power. The car needs only 2.9 seconds to go from 0-100 km/h and it can reach the speed of 350 km/h tops.
