Bentley has finally confirmed the addition of an SUV to its lineup which will happen in the year 2016.
As per the previous reports, production was suppose to place in Bratislava, Slovakia, but now the company has confirmed that the Bentley SUV will be built in Crewe where the company will invest 800 million GBP. These funds will be spent not only for just SUV’s development but also for additional models which will be added in the future. The SUV will be the company’s fourth model line to be built in Crewe and will create more than 1,000 jobs in UK.
However there is no mention of the peculiar EXP 9 F concept that was part of last year’s Geneva Motor Show as a preview for an SUV production model. Though Bentley did mention its styling would set it apart from any other SUV on the road and will be true to the Bentley design DNA.
The styling in the concept was far from being a looker, but this design sketch makes Bentley’s SUV look better with improved styling. The biggest problem of the concept was its awkward front and that still can’t be said from this sketch is it will change. Some of the noticeable changes include a much sleeker roofline and a BMW-like hofmeister kink.
