The latest variant of the BMW 3-Series has not been out for much too long actually, to say the least. Yet, the luxury automotive marquee from Bavaria, Germany, the BMW, is already trying to prepare a facelifted version of the model. Someone recently managed to snatch a couple of images that depict this particular facelift from the German company.
As can be seen on the spy images, the BMW 3-Series facelift has its front end wrapped in some camouflage of sorts. Nevertheless, it is really not difficult at all to tell that the facelift is coming with LED headlamps. Yet, another thing that also seems interesting is the rear end of the vehicle, which is also wrapped in some sorts of disguise. Well, to tell the truth, this can only mean that the German marquee is actually preparing a pair of newly designed taillights for the facelift. The rear bumper is probably going to be treated with some updates as well.
However, as for the interior, the spy images seem to show that there is not going to be any change whatsoever, well, except for the onboard vehicle infotainment system, perhaps. For your information, the luxury German automaker recently made an announcement, hinting that it would apply a new infotainment system that now features touchscreen support for all of its refreshed 3-Series.
When it comes to performance, it is believed that the BMW 3-Series facelift is to benefit from the company’s 1.5L 3-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine. That, however, is for the entry level variants. Word has it the higher trims are to receive engines that have either four or even six cylinders altogether. Then, later in the future, BMW also plans to offer a plug-in hybrid variant which will see the company’s conventional 4-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine being combined with a lithium-ion battery as well as an electric motor.
