BMW spends $30 million for multi-level dealership facility in Minneapolis

by Ron Grant

BMW poured in $30 million atop their $2 billion investment in the United States for the last decade. The funds were used to construct a new, multi level dealership that will be outside Minneapolis Minnesota.

The BMW facility takes about 223,000 sq.ft. of space. The building will house 80 workbays and can accommodate around 500 vehicles inside. There will also be a mini theater for twelve. This office currently employs about one hundred people.

The president of BMW North America , Jim O’Donnell, describes Minneapolis as a very dynamic place wit a mix of young, business, and vibrant cultures. He said that the newly built BMW facility is perfect for the growth plans of the brand in the United States.

The Minnesota dealership was formerly opened last April 21. The principal dealer is confident that BMW will do very well in the region and improve the presence of the brand.

The facility will also have escalator, auto climate control, business centers, surround sound, and driving simulators.

Back in 2009, owners of BMW centers invested around $340 million to expand and upgrade their service areas. The dealers recognized the importance of improving their BMW facilities aside from providing great customer service.

Across the United States, dealerships of the luxury brand have employees numbering to about 20,000.
