A car manufacturing company that calls itself the DeltaWing Technology Group has taken the liberty of officially announcing that it has started development on a new vehicle model, the DeltaWing GT. This model, according to the company in question, will be a racecar and it will have its world premiere take place no later than this year itself.
Referring to the official announcement made by the DeltaWing Technology Group, the new DeltaWing GT racecar is going to show the whole world just how powerful a 2-seater sports car that takes advantage of the architecture developed by the DeltaWing Technology Group is. In fact, the company claims that its new vehicle needs far less horsepower than most other cars out there to deliver the performance offered by most of today’s modern sports cars. In addition to that, the company even goes as far as to say that its new model is unbelievably efficient when it comes to fuel consumption.
As it turns out, the DeltaWing GT racecar concept is not the only project currently being worked on by the DeltaWing Technology Group. It turns out the company is also working on a road car that is capable of accommodating four passengers altogether. Thanks to the DeltaWing architecture, this passenger car has quite an efficient fuel consumption of 74 mpg (highway) and over 57 mpg (combined). The car counts on a 1.4L engine that resides under its engine hood. This engine spits out no less than 138 bhp of power output.
The CEO and chairman of the company, Don Panoz, also mentioned in an official statement that the company had reached a key milestone which would make it possible for it to go ahead with its plans of building both 2- and 4-seater models of a DeltaWing and also to begin testing in the real world.
