If you are looking for cool videos on what is potentially the world’s biggest social video network, YouTube, perhaps you really should consider taking a peek at the videos uploaded by the Barcroft Cars. This time around, this particular YouTube channel has posted another very cool video yet again. Believe it or not, one example of the 1969 Cadillac Coupe DeVille has been caught on tape transformed into a mobile bathtub. The tub can really go places even though it is full of water, mind you.
As it turns out, this mobile bathtub comes as the result of the hard work put in by Duncan Forster and Phil Weicker, both of whom are engineers. The men call their creation ‘The Carpool DeVille’. According to these two men, this mobile tub has been built based on a certain prototype which they worked on while they were both still engineering students studying at the McMaster University in Canada.
In order to get their hands on the 1969 Cadillac Coupe DeVille, which is now a very rare model, the engineers had to take out just $800 of their pockets. Yet, it took them six cars to restore the vehicle, upgrade its controls, suspension and heating systems and also to install plumbing required to convert the vehicle into a moving pool or bathtub. With that being said, it is quite obvious that the men had had to spend lots and lots of money into making their mobile tub a reality and not just a dream.
There is no need to question just how witted these men are. They literally have what seems to be the world’s fastest bathtub ever. One of the greatest things about these men’s creation is that the car will have no problem going places even if it is full of water. In fact, in such condition, it can reach a total speed of 80 km/h.
