Queen Elizabeth II’s 2001 Daimler Super V8 LWB limousine model is being put for auction on coming August 31st.
The model which was specially built for the Queen, was used by Her Majesty who drove it around Windsor Castle and Buckingham Palace. Over the course of three years, the vehicle has managed to run 15,242 miles (24,529 km) as per the odometer.
Considering the fact that the model was built for the monarch, it would come with various special features that one may not find normally in other models. These special features include a center armrest with a slide out section that holds a handbag, blue flashing strobes lights, non-functional communications equipment and a supercharged 4.0-liter V8 engine that can pump out 375 hp (280 kW).
The car is being sold at the auction by Historics at Brooklands and we can expect it to fetch in the range of £25,000 – £30,000 (approx $38,275 – $45,935 / €28,815 – €34,580). It would be an honour and a great matter of pride to own a vehicle used by the Queen of England and hopefully the model should get its due and should fetch the expected amount.
