February vehicle sales increased 8.9 percent in China

Passenger vehicle sales in China to retail clients increased 8.9 percent in February from a year previously, the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) stated.

Retail sales amounted to 1.5 million vehicles in last month, as per data published on the CPCA website. For the first two months of 2017, passenger car sales dropped 2.9 percent compared to the same duration a year previously.

The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, whose data is usually observed as the measurement for the industry, was due to report wholesale data for February on Friday.
