An example of the Ferrari F430 was severely destroyed due to it catching fire recently on a highway in Hong Kong. Up to the present, it is still not known what may have triggered the fire. It is not known, either, if anyone has been severely hurt during the incident. One thing that we do know for sure, however, is that the prancing horse in question was not even crashing or hitting anything at all when it caught fire all of a sudden. The fire started from the engine compartment. As a result of the incident, the F430 is now nothing but wrecked metal. Apparently, the firemen did not come in time to rescue the car, and whoever was in it, if any.
This, however, is not the first time that a Ferrari catches fire for no obvious reasons. Back in the year 2010, a number of users reported that their 458 Italia caught fire even when parked. This had forced the Italian automaker to recall the model and replaced the ones that got burnt with new units for their customers. Yet, it seemed that Ferrari might not have really solved the problem. In August 2012, another 458 Italia burst into flames while wandering around the streets of Switzerland.
Yet, as if those cases above are not enough, there are also other cases in which F430 gets burnt. In an afternoon on August 2013, a fire started to blaze from the engine compartment of an F430 in Boca Raton, Florida. The engine of the prancing horse in question was not even activated at the moment as the car was simply parked. It took the car only 15 minutes of being idle before it started to burn.
Another example of a burning Ferrari F430 could be seen in Russia. In an evening of the New Year’s Day, January 1, 2013, flame started to emerge from the engine compartment of the car. In this case, too, the firemen could do nothing because by the time they got to the scene, the car had turned into total wreckage. Are Ferrari cars really equivalent to fire these days?
