Let’s see how much Ford is gonna outsell others this time
If you have closely watching the automotive social networks in the past couple of months, you probably know that fortunate Ford GT customers are finally going to obtain their car. Because of Ford’s monthly sales report, we understand that the company has delivered 21 units so far this year to customers in the United States, nine of these deliveries last month alone.
Ford intends on building 250 GTs annually between 2017 and 2020 for an overall production run of a thousand cars. The first production-spec GT, which was supposedly delivered to Bill Ford, rolled off the production line at racing company Multimatic’s Ontario center last December, though Ford didn’t informed about any GT sales in last year.
Multimatic plans on constructing one GT per day, so if Ford has only provided 21 GTs so far, production is clearly still increasing.
Presently, it’s unclear whether Ford has delivered any production-spec to GT clients outside the US, however others have made contact with the company to know more.
Interestingly, the Lincoln MKS, which was replaced by the Continental for this year, outsold the GT by a massive 7 cars last month.
In other news, Ford sold 8655 F-series pickups for each single GT provided last month.
That’s a helpful metric to reveal just how small Ford GT production is for a big corporation like Ford. Nine automobiles provided in a month be huge for, say, Koenigsegg.
Perhaps GT will happen to outsell the MKS in the next month.
