Ford introduces Mountune upgrades for the Focus ST & Fiesta ST

by David Bond

Ford has recently introduced a Mountune upgrade package for two of its models, Fiesta ST and Focus ST.

Firstly, the Fiesta ST comes equipped with a new air box (with a secondary inlet), a high-flow air filter and an optimized ECU. With the help of these changes, the 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine is now able to generate 215 HP (158 kW) and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque. This enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 kmph (0-62 mph) in 6.7 seconds which is 0.2 seconds faster than the standard model.

Similarly, the other model Focus ST is now equipped with a cast alloy inlet duct, a larger alloy intercooler, a high-flow air filter and an optimized ECU. These modifications now enable the turbocharged 2.0-liter Ecoboost engine to produce 275 HP (202 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. This car is now able to accelerate from 0-100 kmph (0-62 mph) in under 6 seconds.

One of the highlight of the package is that this Mountune upgrade can be installed in less than 90 minutes. The upgrade package pricing starts at £ 599 for the Fiesta ST model and £ 1,225 for the Focus ST one.
