Ford Unleashes the All New GT

by SpeedLux

The latest generation GT from Ford has been making hypes all over the internet for the past few months. Now, the American automaker has eventually unleashed the vehicle. Ford has taken the wrap off the all new GT at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show event.

The visual styling of the car seems to be quite influenced by the former generation GT yet with some modern day standards. Dubbed as an ultra-high performance vehicle, the new GT is going to pack an EcoBoost V6 engine with twin turbochargers under the hood. The engine will give the vehicle a total power output beyond 600 bhp.

The design of this new vehicle from Ford prioritizes drag reduction and also the production of greater down force. It has the ability to seat two passengers and comes with a pair of doors that swing upwards when opened. Carbon fiber material is dominant inside the cabin. On the rear end of the car, an active spoiler is available and will adjust itself according to the road conditions the car has to face at a given time.

Owners of the all new GT will also get to enjoy a 7-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT) which Ford claims will provide gear shifts that are nearly instantaneous. In addition to that, owners of the car will also be able to expect the presence of a steering wheel inspired by that usually used in an F1 racecar. If that is not enough, the vehicle still has the SYNC3 infotainment system from Ford and a digital instrument panel that the vehicle owners can very easily configure to suit their preferences.

Showcased at this year’s Detroit Auto Show, it turns out that the car is not only for show. Reports indicate that the American automaker will actually start production of the next Ford GT close to the end of the year and will introduce a production version in 2016.
