Ford’s CEO Mark Fields discusses the car of the future, Amazon is also collaborating with Ford

While some other automakers have made some significant announcements recently, however Ford CEO Mark Fields states his company not in the race to make announcements. Rather, Ford is busy concentrating on the best ways to make client’s lives much easier and constructing the car of the future.

“Our combination is an automobile and a mobility company, and we believe that makes a great deal of sense for us. However we’re not in a race to make statements. We are in a race to do what’s right for our customers, and exactly what’s right for our business,” Fields stated.

During an interview at Ford’s research and development center in Palo Alto, CA on Thursday, Fields explained exactly what the vehicle of the future will resemble.

“What I am most delighted about here is the development that is going on. The innovation is who we are as a company, going back to Henry Ford,” Fields included.

From 2015, Ford had started carrying out experiments all over the world to discover more about what fits for the customers. It is presently dealing with brand-new technology that consists of connected automobiles, internet and autonomous driving.

Ford likewise got into a partnership with Amazon in January. The collaboration will allow Ford’s technology to link by means of the cloud for customers to now communicate with their home from their vehicle.

Ford is also working to integrate smart parking into its automobiles through a number of mobility experiments. Cars will be geared up with sensing units to compute the area that will most likely have a parking area and conserve consumers time.
