Car owners often hate their vehicles looking a mess of cluttered junk and rubbish. But, there are quite a few gadgets, gizmos and gear that you should have in your car when you’re on the road. Here are just a few of the things that we suggest you pack the trunk with.
Strips Of Carpet
First, you need to think about getting some strips of carpet or a thick material in the back of your trunk. This simple piece of gear will prove very useful in mud or snow. You can lay it down in front of the wheels and drive onto it, making sure you never get stuck in your car.
Torch
A simple piece of gear for sure but it will certainly prove to be useful at some point or another. Your car might break down at night. If that happens, you’ll be glad you had the common sense to pack a torch so you can see what’s gone wrong.
Satnav
You might think that you’ll always know where you are and where you’re going but it is worth having a satnav. That way, if you do get lost or confused you’ll always be able to find your way back to your destination. You might also want to think about having a map of wherever you’re traveling because satnavs aren’t always completely reliable.
Jump Cables
Jump cables are useful for you or another driver on the road. You might, at some point have to help someone whose battery has failed. Similarly, you yourself might need a kick start of your engine. You can do this with another working vehicle but you can’t guarantee the driver has jump cables. So, it’s best to have your own.
