Toroidion may have yet to become a renowned name in the global automotive industry. However, this does not necessarily mean that it is simply an automaker to take for granted. As a matter of fact, the company is really trying its best to rise in the world of automobiles around the world. The automaker in question has recently made an official announcement stating that it is going to bring the 1MW concept vehicle to an event known as the Top Marques Monaco this year.
Although there are not too many details available so far, it is known that the vehicle will be coming with a completely electric powertrain. This can also be seen from the name given to the vehicle. The 1MW actually stands for 1 Megawatt. Yes, believe it or not, the car can actually spit out a total power of 1,000 kW, which equates to 1,341 bhp of power output. Taking that into account, this vehicle actually has a power identical to the Koenigsegg One:1 that has a conventional powertrain.
According to reports, the Toroidion 1MW is built by hands in the company’s plant in Finland and that it will come up in the form of a 2-seater sports car. In addition to that, judging by the teaser images that the automaker has released so far, it can be seen that the car is going to sport round headlamps, a long engine hood, a sloping roofline typical of a sports coupe, wraparound windshield, oval front grille, bulging wheel arches and also very short overhangs for the rear end of the vehicle.
Unfortunately, there are no further details known about the car as of now. But then again, since the car is going to make its official world debut at the 2015 Top Marques Monaco, it is perhaps best to wait for the event to take place, which is scheduled to last from April 16 -19, 2015.
