Google to test self-driving cars in high temperatures

by SpeedLux

Google is going to take its self-driving vehicles to Phoenix to see how the SUVs carry out in Arizona’s summer.

4 of Google’s self-driving cars are being driven around Phoenix today, mapping parts of the city area ahead of letting the vehicles loose.

Google officials stated they will start having the automobiles drive in Chandler.

Google officials also stated they want to see how the automobiles work in high temperatures and in the massive dust storms that sometimes happen in the summertime.

Up until now Google has 54 cars driving themselves, with Google employees as travelers, in Mountain View, California, – where Google is based – Austin, Texas, and Kirkland, Washington.

The self-driving cars are easy to spot by their additional devices on the roof and their extra well-mannered way of driving.
