Harley-Davidson’s all-electric motorcycles to be launched within five years

by SpeedLux

Famous American motorcycle maker Harley-Davidson will be soon known for making electric motorcycles.

During an interview with the Milwaukee Business Journal, Harley senior VP Sean Cummings states that it’ll put an all-electric motorcycle on the road within 5 years.

There is a Wisconsin-based company that built a restricted number of LiveWire electric prototypes in 2014, letting media and clients choose test trips, but those bikes were never offered to the public and were never planned for a production run. Still, LiveWire’s existence recommended Harley was pretty serious about checking out the idea of an EV motorcycle– and obviously, the customer reaction was positive.

Furthermore, in upcoming years Harley will engineer a newer, better powertrain that provides more range and quicker charging.
