Hennessey Ford GT1000 TT Sets new Texas Mile Record at 267.6mph

by SpeedLux

Well known tuners Hennessey Performance have achieved yet another milestone with the help of their latest tuned twin turbocharged Ford GT.

The tuned Ford GT1000 set a new record of reaching a top speed of 267.6 mph in just one mile breaking the previous record of 263.3 mph. The record was set at the infamous Texas Mile drag racing event in the US. In fact the previous record and record prior to that of 257.7 mph is also set by Ford GT1000 only.

However, the surprising part is that the record created by the car is still short of the world record created last year at Performance Power Racing. The team managed to catapult an equally insane Ford GT with the record speed of 283.232 mph in one mile.

This is what we call as excitingly fast and furious and the American tuners would be really proud of their tuned car’s performance.
