The 2011 SEMA show saw Honda focusing on their new 2012 Civic models but they also featured their improved Accord Coupe. Honda unveiled the Accord under the Honda Factory Performance (HFP) name with some tuning upgrades that are supposed to vastly enhance the performance.
The concept Accord Coupe has been fitted with a powerful V6 engine that provides an output of 335 Horse power and 285 lb-ft of torque for the wheels. The stock model obviously has lesser performance and can only provide 271 horse power and 250 lb-ft of torque.
The concept model also featured premium HFP components like the aero body kit and alloy rims for wheels. They also featured their Honda Civic Si as a sports car model. The Civic Si also received a host of HFP tuning upgrades. The Civic limited edition receives an improved suspension system which also reduces the ground clearance of the vehicle giving it a racy look. It also received an improved body kit, exclusive badges, few interior upgrades and 18-inch alloy wheels.
It has been reported that Honda will be selling only 500 units of the Civic Coupe Si and there are o such announcements yet made for the HFP Accord Coupe.
