The FX30d is the first ever Infiniti to run on diesel. Consumers in the United Kingdom can now order the FX30d with prices kicking off at £45,150. The diesel version is £200 more expensive than its petrol equivalent, the FX37. Deliveries are scheduled to begin by July 2010.
The FX30d runs on a V6 3.0L turbo diesel powerplant that was developed in collaboration with the engineers of the Renault-Nissan Alliance. The engine can output238 horsepower an has torque of around 550 Nm or about 406 pound feet while revving at 1750 rpm.
The powerful engine is coupled with a 7-speed automatic transmission with Adaptive Shift Control. The FX30d can go from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 8.3 seconds. The fuel mileage by UK standards is 31.4 mpg with carbon dioxide emissions pegged at 238 grams per kilometer.
The FX30d will be offered as the GT at £45,150, GT Premium going for £49,680, S at £47,200, and as the top of the line S Premium selling for £51,730.
