Koenigsegg One:1 confirmed for Geneva, could beat Veyron SS’ top speed

Koenigsegg has recently confirmed that the limited edition One:1 will be exhibited at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

It is a limited edition version and so only six cars will be built and all of them have already been sold even before the production starts. The “One:1” nameplate refers to the vehicle’s power to weight ratio as it will have an output of whopping 1,400 hp (1,044 kW) in a body weighing 1,400 kg (3,086 lbs) which will include all fluids and the weight of an average-sized driver.

Company claims that the One:1 can hit a top speed in excess of 280 mph (450 kmph) but most likely it will be limited by the tires. The Swedish supercar maker is confident the One:1 will set new records for the 0-124 mph (0-200 kmph), 0-186 mph (0-300 kmph) and 0-248 mph (0-400 kmph) sprints. The company’s engineers have estimated that hitting 400 kmph from a standstill will be done in around 20 seconds.

Just to update you, currently Bugatti Veyron Super Sport World Record Edition is the fastest car in the world, being able to reach an electronically-limited top speed of 258 mph (415 kmph). Bugatti also tested an unrestricted Veyron WRE and managed to touch 268 mph (431 kmph) but the production version was sold with the limiter installed.
