Land Rover, an automaker from the British soil, is bringing two variants of the HSE Td6 model. Whereas one is a regular variant, the other is a sport variant. Both variants will most likely become available for the US automotive market first before potentially heading to other countries in the world.
Both the Range Rover HSE Td6 and the Range Rover Sport HSE Td6 come with a powerful 3.0L diesel engine. In order to function, this engine works in close collaboration with an 8-speed automatic transmission developed by the ZF. In total, the power produced by the engine achieves the mark of 254 hp whereas its maximum torque achieves the mark of 596 Nm. The regular variant of the Range Rover HSE Td6 is capable of accelerating from a complete standstill to reach the velocity of 100 km/h within only 7.4 seconds. Yet, as for the sport variant, the car is even faster. It needs only 7.1 seconds to hit the mark of 100 km/h going from a stationary position.
As it turns out, these upcoming Range Rover HSE Td6 variants are not only fast but also quite fuel efficient. As a matter of fact, the British automaker claims that they will consume fuel up to 32% more efficiently when compared to their supercharged V6 counterparts that consume petrol for fuel. According to Land Rover, both the Range Rover HSE Td6 and the Range Rover Sport HSE Td6 will be able to reach 22 miles per gallon of fuel traveling in the city. Yet, on the highway, the vehicle will most likely reach an even farther distance of 28 miles for every gallon of fuel it consumes. Put into combination, the fuel consumption of the vehicle sits at the mark of 25 miles per gallon, which is very efficient indeed.
